Hello Again

Notice my lack of blogging over the past week? It's because I actually had sort of a life.

For this past week, I went back to work at the job I had all through college. I worked in the baby room at the church daycare because it was Vacation Bible School week, and they had some drop-in babies from the volunteers. It was originally supposed to be just until noon, but ended up being 8-5 every day. I liked it--it made me feel productive again. Plus, babies! Cuteness! And what an awesome leg workout from squatting and lifting those kids--my thighs are showing their appreciation.

We also had our first Lamaze class on Monday (scary, but I'm optimistic that it will help me), Tuesday was Mr. ABC123's birthday, Wednesday we interviewed a pediatrician choice, Thursday we went to the Harry Potter midnight premiere, and Friday I came home from work and crashed.

Today I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant. In three weeks, this babe will be full term. In many ways, I feel like this pregnancy has FLOWN by. Sure, there are certain aspects that seem like they've been part of my life forever, like food being the enemy. In most ways, though, I'm not to the point yet where I'm praying for the end. I'm content to stay pregnant for a few more weeks.

And now, the overdue survey!
How Far Along: 34 weeks
Baby's Size: 17-18 inches and almost 5 lbs--the size of a cantaloupe
Weight gain/ loss: 13 lbs
Best Moment This Week: Mr. ABC123's birthday--first, that he was able to be home for it; but also, that my family was able to be here and made it so special for him.
Symptoms: Very little appetite and no room for food. Wicked heartburn (before, I might take a Tums every few weeks if needed--this week, I went through a whole roll. God bless Tums Smoothies).
Labor signs: just some Braxton Hicks contractions.
Food cravings/ aversions: If it's not fruit, I don't want it. It's been a problem because I am really having to stay on top of myself with my veggie and protein intake. It's also become clear that I cannot drink anything but water without paying a very high price in discomfort.
What I'm Looking Forward To: Making more progress in the nursery. I really wanted to be finished by now....but the people with the muscles don't have the same agenda.
Milestones: Starting Lamaze and talking to pediatricians!
