Well, Mr. ABC123 FINALLY has a job! He's taking an interim position at the church I grew up in that will last us through the summer. Since we're going to be in the town anyway, it works out well for us. It will help meet our needs better than the hotel job he has now, and it will help him get some very good experience in his field.

SO. That's where things stand. It's now time to start packing in earnest because we have to be there mid-June, after he's fulfilled some commitments here. At least now we know the plan a little more and I can start setting up space for the baby! My former boss has already offered me some work for over the summer, which will help with the hospital bill. I even contacted the doctor I'd like to go to today and asked some questions, then stopped by my current doctor to sign the records release form so that they can fax my info to the new doctor. Doctor business, check! If that doctor can't take me, I do have a backup plan.

Next step, find out about Medicaid. We applied once but they told us our income didn't qualify, so our plan all along has been to reapply once school is out. Questions: Can we apply right now, even though I'm not officially done working yet? Can we apply here, even though we're moving? Hmmm.

I feel slightly relieved that there is a job, I've contacted a doctor, and I know what town I'm having this baby in.
