This week was largely good, but I'm still glad it's over! The kids have a week off while we go to a conference from Sunday to Tuesday afternoon, so I'm gearing up to head across the state tomorrow. Then, we're heading to see my family for Thanksgiving! I just LOVE Thanksgiving. Respect the Turkey!!
I am so encouraged by what's going on with my Scentsy business. Yesterday at work, someone placed a VERY sizeable order, another parent requested a catalog, I had four more "yes" RSVPs to the launch party, someone at Bible study placed an order, AND someone booked a book party for this coming week. Wahoo! That means that I've already done $145 in orders, my launch party is in two weeks, and I have two book parties out--one this week, one the next. I am so thankful that this new venture seems to be going well so far. I am hoping that it will really help in making extra money.
Speaking of money, I do have something that I would like to clear up. I know I've written before about the way we struggle financially sometimes, even while trying to be very responsible with our money. I know that on my post about our anniversary, I wrote about all the nice gifts that my husband got. I should say that he's been saving money out of his paycheck for months in order to get those things. Not that I owe anyone an explanation, but if I were in a reader's shoes and saw that, I would think that they were hypocritical. No, we didn't get into any debt, and no, I don't forgo necessities for frivolities.
