My mom and sister-in-law are throwing me a baby shower in July and they asked me to start working on a tentative guest list and gathering up the addresses.
I dunno who to invite.
Well, that's not entirely true...I have a few friends and some ladies who have watched me grow up to invite. But then there's always those people that you're pretty sure it wouldn't be wierd if you invited....but it's kind of been a long time since you talked to them, and you don't want to come across like you're just inviting them to get a gift...? I feel like I don't have that many people to invite otherwise, because the shower will be in my hometown. While I have coworkers and church members I'd really like to invite, I can't, because the shower is an hour and a half away from where we live now. I doubt I'll be getting a church or a work shower because there's another girl pregnant and church, and work will be over when I'm just a little past six months and I won't be going back.
I don't want to invite people just to invite them...but I'm going to feel like such a loser if only five people show up.
A fat lot of nothing has happened on the move/job front, which is really frustrating for me. I'm ready to get going--if we're going to be moving, then let's get packing and get ready to get out of here. We are hoping to hear something on the potential job opening in the next day or two. They just want to schedule a preliminary meeting with my husband--we're not so sure it's an interview, just more of an informational session. We'd still really like to get the information, though! We feel more confident in the direction we want to go, but we are just waiting around on people to give us the info we need to make the final decision. I try not to be impatient, but we're kiiiiiiind of on a timeline here, y'all.
