This weekend, I had a little scare.
I was under a lot of stress this weekend. I was very worried about something that was going on with my sister, anxious about getting stuff cleaned out of my old room to make room for my classroom stuff, and anxious about what information we would learn about Mr. ABC123's job opportunity. I was having some chest pain before I went to bed, but I chalked it up to heartburn and went to sleep. Well, about 3 am, the pain was so intense that it woke me up, and the location of the pain had moved. The pain was localized to my diaphragm, and spread all the way across. It kept me awake for almost an hour. I finally was able to go back to sleep and when I woke up, I felt fine, so I figured it was just crazy heartburn.
Today, I was reading my way through Birthwise, and I got to the section about pregnancy complications. I had some of the warning signs they said to look out for with hypertension, and it said that I was far enough along to have serious complications if the symptoms continued. I'm not saying that's what it IS, but I'm starting to feel like I'm a giant idiot for not waking my parents up to take me to the ER (hubs was at work). I have felt the baby moving since then, and I haven't experienced the feelings since then, but I'm not sure what I should do next (other than relax).
I've been pushing myself lately to do it all; I guess to make up for the first trimester (plus some). I've been trying to keep the house spotless, food on the table, clothes washed and ironed, and papers graded. But I start to worry about it all the time if something doesn't get done, because I think, "What if I DO have to go back to work after the baby comes? I'll have to do all those things PLUS be a mom, and I better suck it up."
Will it get easier after the baby gets here?
