THIS year, I decided that I really would like to do something to recognize my birthday. Twenty six is a bit of a random year to choose, but the last time I did anything for my birthday was my 21st, and this is my last birthday before Baby! Plus, I didn't do anything for my college or grad school graduations, so I haven't really celebrated much for myself since I got married. Mr. ABC123 invited some of our friends to meet us for dinner, and it was a REALLY nice time! It wasn't anything fancy, it was just a nice excuse to get some of our friends together. We got to spend some extra time with our best friends, and this pregnant lady stayed out til after 11:30! I haven't seen that time of day without the aid of a nap in five months--plus, we had a field trip that day, so I'm giving myself some extra props for surviving that long.
It was fun. =) I got my new digital camera, a new kitchen rug, a prenatal yoga DVD (I asked for both of those, so it's ok), some assorted gift cards, and a bag of treats. On Friday (day off, score!), we went shopping so I could use some of my gift cards. It's not a secret that money has been tight, and I haven't bought anything for myself in a very long time (life of a mom, right?). I went looking for maternity clothes, but that particular day I found squat. So instead, I got these lovelies:

A Vera Wang clutch--love it. The color goes with so many things, and I really wanted a clutch so I could keep the essentials together, drop them in the diaper bag, and then pull them out on the go.
Then, I bought these shoes in tan:

Plus, I had a completely wonderful day just hanging out with my husband. I needed to do more cleaning, and I should've gone grocery shopping, and I didn't. That left us with zero groceries to cook the Easter meal I had planned for the two of us.
I got over it. Besides, we found a $25 gift card to Cracker Barrel, so we still got a nice meal for the day.
Finally, the most exciting birthday gift: the carseat for Le Tot! My parents bought it for me. We got the Chicco Keyfit 30 carseat in Fuego.
