Hello In There...

We got to see Baby/Little One/the tot today. =)

The tech asked us if we wanted to know what we were having, and we said no. But just out of curiousity, partway through the ultrasound, Mr. ABC123 asked the tech if she could tell what the baby is. She said yes. (We still don't know--we were just curious if the baby was cooperating or not).

Of course, the tech said she couldn't tell us if everything looked good or not, but she did point out the spine, two arms, two legs, the bones, the skull, the brain, the nasal cavity, and the beating heart. And the fact that there's still only one baby--that's important too. She said that the baby takes "great pictures," which I guess means that she got to see everything she needed to see. The baby was very active in there--mostly twisting and turning a bit, but we got to see one good kick! The baby kept his or her hands up near the face the whole time, and we got to see the baby open his or her mouth! It was so cool! The baby would NOT move hands away from the face, so the tech poked my tummy to try and get the baby to move his or her hands--then, the baby poked her right back and put the hands right back where they were! Methinks we have a sassy little tyke. Takes after Mama. ;)

Of course, now we have to wait for the pictures to be sent to the radiologist, who'll read them and tell our doctor the info. Still waiting on pins and needles to hear if everything is okay...

AND, I get a phone call from my ob's office. I couldn't answer it the first time because I was driving in some heavy rain, and there wasn't a voicemail. I get home, and all of a sudden the voicemail shows up, asking me to call them. I assume it's about my bloodwork, so I call the medical assistant back and have to leave a voicemail. Then, fifteen minutes after the office closes, without my phone ever ringing, I get another voicemail from the office. Of course, I try to call back, but the phone system won't put me through because the office is closed. Ugh. I just want to know if everything is OKAY!!!
