Surprise?

In case you were wondering why my post were so infrequent, or so often about TV shows, now you know. I've been perched right here on this couch during almost all of my free time.

We found out for sure on December 29th and we waited a long time to tell anyone because....well, stuff happens, and I was nervous. Scratch that, AM nervous. Although if my constant nausea (although mercifully infrequent throwing up) is any indication, the little tot is growing just fine. I know that a lot of people didn't understand our choice to wait so long, but tough. It's OUR decision. (And THAT is my newfound assertiveness when it comes to our baby).

We're so RELIEVED, and so excited. I want to be surprised as to whether it's a boy or a girl. We've already started picking out nursery items, like the crib. We have our names picked out already. If it's a boy, he will be Isaac James. I love that name for two reasons--first, Abraham and Sarah had prayed for a child for a long time, and Isaac was their promised child. Secondly, Isaac means laughter. How cool of a name is that? James is my favorite book in the Bible, but...honestly, I just like the name. Thirdly, Isaac isn't a crazy wierd name, but it's not one you hear a lot. That was important to me, too. If we have a girl, her name will be Lily Elizabeth. Lily because, well, it's the only girl name we can agree on, and I think we've tried them all. Elizabeth is after my grandmother that passed away last August.

Oh, and we're due August 28th. I think that's all the important info. I know my blog is not looking great right now, but I used up all my allotted energy for the day fiddling with the background.
