So, here's what's hard about trying to get pregnant.
You can try and try and try, and know that your timing is right, and still fail. You think, "Maybe I didn't have the right timing. Maybe I don't ovulate." So....you drop insane amounts of money on sticks to pee on, you wake up at five am every day to take your temperature, you see the doctor, you often put timing ahead of intimacy, and you KNOW you did everything right...and you get diddly squat.
Well, not quite. Frustration is a free parting gift every month.
I just dread those few days before AF is supposed to show up, because everything your body does consumes your thoughts. "My boobs hurt! Maybe I'm pregnant! My boobs DON'T hurt! Maybe I'm pregnant! I have cramps! Maybe I'm pregnant! I DON'T have cramps! Maybe I'm pregnant!" I'm so not looking forward to that experience again, because it really shakes your confidence when you know, know, know that your timing was perfect and it still doesn't happen. Yes, I know that there's only a 20-25% chance of getting pregnant each cycle...but that only helps sometimes.
So anyway, it's easy to get discouraged and freaked out.
On an unrelated note, I was watching more Scentsy training videos and I'm pretty excited about what I learned. I've been writing thank you notes and including my business card to people who have placed orders, putting my branding stickers on items that come in so people know who to contact to get more...just little things I can think of to try. I came up with a birthday promotion I'm going to offer, too (another idea I got from the training video). When people come to the Scentsy parties, they can write down their birthday and e-mail address. Then, a week before their birthday, they'll receive an email entitling them to a free Scent Circle of their choice with any $10 purchase. It's a good way to keep business contact with people, and heck, it's a good deal. (You guys are welcome to sign up, too). =) Right now, the next party I'm doing is going to be through my mother-in-law if we get to go visit after New Year's. It would be great to get some out-of-state contacts, although I know it may be a tough party since people have just shelled out money for Christmas gifts. Then again, some people are ready to spend some money on themselves by that point of the year... Here's hoping that 2011 brings success in all of my efforts ;) (and yours too)!
