Reasons to Smile

As I mentioned a few days ago, I have become a Scentsy consultant. This is not a natural thing for me. I don't like to push people to buy things or make them feel uncomfortable, because I've been there often. However, I do feel that Scentsy offers products that everyone can use and they're a good value. The hard part is getting the business going. Once you establish clients, you should be able to keep orders coming in that way, although you need to keep booking parties to keep your quota up.

I have my launch party coming up in a few weeks, and I worked on the invitations all weekend long. I'm inviting teachers, parents, school staff....anyone at work I can think of. I got my labels printed off (saved money from ordering them from the website--SCORE!), and I read through my consultant manual and went through my scent samples. I spread the word to the ladies at church, and I wasn't sure what kind of response I would get, but so many people asked for catalogs that I ran out of the ones that I brought! I'm excited about pouring my energy into this, because it's different from anything else I've ever done. My hope is that I will be able to get enough clients to keep this up if I'm ever able to be a SAHM and make a little extra money. I'm praying that God will bless this venture and will use it to provide some extra income.

**Gotta add this...I've already confessed my secret obsession with Real Housewives. Tonight, RH of Atlanta is on. There's this housewife named Phaedra, an entertainment lawyer, who is hugely pregnant. The whole time she's been on, she's been talking about her "adorable" designer clothes she'll be wearing to the hospital, what kind of sandals she wants to wear, etc. The only time she ever talks about the baby or the delivery is to refer to it as "that mess."

If we hadn't just bought a nice TV for our joint graduation gift, I would be way tempted to punch her right in her big ol' fake lips that take up half my screen.
