So, apparently blogging is going to become a weekend activity only. I guess that's okay. It means I'm busy all week long, which isn't all bad.
This past week has been a little crazy. It's hard to readjust to everything after being totally away for two days. There's stuff to catch up on with DH, a house to clean, and a job to go to. This year I've been happy with how prepared I'm able to be with meals and housework while balancing work, but a big part of that is being able to take advantage of my free time on the weekends. I had Monday night to get things in order. Tuesday night we had dinner with some people from church, Wednesday is church, Thursday we relaxed, Friday we went to a HS football game to support one of the players, Saturday we had guests, and Sunday we had guests. As usual, I brought home entirely too much work to try and accomplish from my job, so I have to get to that at some point.
I have had a nice weekend so far, though. Yesterday I made homemade bread pudding (delish!) and a butterscotch-vanilla flan (notsomuch). Side note--Always trust your cooking instincts. When a recipe tells you to pour hot milk into an egg mixture and your inner Rachael Ray is saying, "But won't that scramble the eggs?", listen to Rachael. It will.
We're coming up on that time again and I'm still debating whether to really try hard this month (charting, OPKs, etc.) or not think about it at all. Maybe life will keep me busy enough that I won't end up dwelling on it.
