We're officially moved now. It was a whirlwind of activity on Saturday, and I'm convinced that the people at our (old) church are the fastest movers I've ever seen. They had all of our furniture out and the rest of our belongings packed in an hour.
Granted, I don't know where some of my things are, and there are some things that weren't supposed to be packed for storage that got packed anyway by well-meaning helpers (including my baby shower thank you notes and my nursing cover, boo), but still. They saved us a ton of work.
So here I am in my parents' house. Mr. ABC123 left to take the youth to camp this morning, so he'll be gone all week, and I'm going to work on making our little room and a half homey for him when he returns.
I had my little breakdown yesterday morning, but I think I'm okay now. I got up early to make breakfast for everyone, and I felt like I was wading through a sea of boxes in our room. Then, I couldn't find my mom's vanilla for my spiced french toast. After that, I went to get ready for church and the maternity dress that I so carefully brought down here so I could get ready quickly was too wrinkled, and I couldn't find my other clothes in the boxes, so I wore jeans to church. So, I had a good little cry over "I can't find anything because this isn't my house and all my stuff is in boxes and I can't find anything and how did my iPod and iPod dock end up in storage because I wanted to use them in the nursery?!"
But I felt much better after church, and I came home and the boxes seemed much less menacing than they had that morning. I got several things unpacked and it's starting to look much more liveable now. The nursery is really coming along--I hope to be able to get some pictures posted later this week. I'm very happy with how it's turning out so far (which is good, because even if I go past my due date, we have less than 90 days to go)!
Now, for the weekly survey I promised myself I would do:
How Far Along? 29 weeks and 1 day
Baby's Size: As big as a squash and somewhere between 2-3 pounds!
Weight gain/loss: Not sure yet--we'll find out at the doctor's visit tomorrow.
Best Moment This Week: Getting moved--another huge hurdle behind us! The baby has been more active, too.
Symptoms: Lower back pain if I'm standing too long, and what's this? Hello, Braxton Hicks contractions!
Food Cravings/ Aversions: The same. Fruit=good. Meat=baaaaaad.
What I'm Looking Forward To: I have a baby shower on Saturday, thrown by my family in Mobile. It's my favorite place to visit, and I hope the shower goes well too.
Milestones: Um....my first Braxton Hicks contractions hit on Friday night. They made me feel kind of nauseous, which makes me nervous for the real thing.
