No, I DON'T have anything better to do than do another blog post!

My sleep has been absolutely HORRIBLE for the past two weeks. No worse than it will be when the baby is here, of course....but sheesh. It's almost laughable.

I really can't complain about being uncomfortable, unless the baby lands a good, hard kick to the ribs or I've eaten too much. I'm not dying of heat all the time, my back hasn't been giving me problems...all in all, I feel like things are going okay for being almost eight months pregnant. I still have to wake up once at night to go to the bathroom, which isn't a big deal. My sleeping problem comes when I try to go BACK to sleep! My room has always been the hottest one in the summer and the coldest in the winter, and when I try to go back to sleep, it is unbearably hot (but if I turn the AC down, I freeze my parents out and they get mad). We have a fan in our room, but it's over the nursery section, not our bed...which doesn't fly with me for when the baby is here. When I finally get cooled down and comfortable enough to sleep....the hubs starts to snore. Then my mind starts to race...

"What if I go into labor in the middle of the night? The middle of the night is so scary because you feel so alone in the world. Everyone else is sleeping. What if my blood pressure goes too high on the way to the hospital? What if it happens when Mr. ABC123 is away on another church trip and one of my PARENTS has to drive me to the hospital? I want my husband to drive me! I'm going to look like a teenager in trouble if I have to have my parents bring me in. And just how many outfits should I pack for the baby? How soon is too soon to put the carseat in the car?"

And the next thing you know, two hours have gone by and I'm still wide awake. (Hey, that's what happens when no one else is awake and you have nothing else to keep your mind from wandering. It's not like I can go down to the kitchen and make myself a snack or turn on the TV, because it's not my house)!

Thank goodness I have the freedom to take a nap during the day!
