Sick Saturday

Moan, groan, complain, I am officially sick.

Actually, it's not too bad. I'd much rather be sick today than a day where I have to put on a happy face for the kids and try to make it through the day (because let's face it, as much as it stinks to teach while not feeling well, it's FAR more effort to scramble to get some sub plans together, then come back and try to grade all the papers and deal with all the discipline issues that inevitably will happen). I don't feel too awful, but I can tell that I have a fever today, so I'm trying to take it easy because I really need to go to church tomorrow. I might try to tackle some laundry (and I actually repotted some Christmas cactus this morning...who knows why), but that's probably about it, other than grading all the papers I haven't been able to even look at for the past two days, thanks to the Christmas play and falling asleep upon walking in the door from work.

I'm trying to put the day to good use in other ways. My brother, who has gotten into networking big time, sent me a book called License to Dream: Every Woman's Guide to Financial Freedom through Network Marketing (to help out with my Scentsy stuff). I was pleasantly surprised. =) So, I'm going to try and get into that book this weekend. I'm also watching my New Consultant Course Training Videos for Scentsy. I have to say that I am really glad I have gotten into this. They have a whole website, full of webinars on ALL different kinds of topics, from how to market yourself to how to make the most of your commission, and videos on what each kind of party is like and what you're supposed to do as the consultant. I LOVE the way they have the training so readily available. It's like Direct Selling for Dummies (which, hello, I need). I just love that there's so much help and so many resources out there, and you don't have to pay to go to some conference to get it. Even if all I get out of this is some new smell-goods for my apartment and some extra spending money, I think it will be worth it, because I am learning a lot. Plus, the more time I spend learning about Scentsy, the less time I spend on pregnancy websites obsessing over different problems that I *might* have. ;) It makes me feel good to do something to earn some extra income, and it forces me to go outside of my comfort zone a bit and work in a different way, which is good for me.

Can someone tell me how to put other people's blog badges on my website, and/ or how to create a Scentsy badge on my own blog that links to my website?

**EDIT: I figured out how to put other people's badges here, but if someone could help me create a Scentsy badge that links to my Scentsy website, that'd be lovely. Thanks. =)

  1. Thanks for the badge add! :) I can help you with a badge for your Scentsy site, it just might take me a day or so.

Oh, and I don't know your "timeline," but the same week I found out I was pregnant, I got SO incredibly sick (and didn't really get rid of it for about a month). The way the rush of new hormones effect your body bring on what seems like a sinus infection or cold. So, just be on the lookout, because sometimes those symptoms are actually symptoms of being KU. ;)

    Hope you feel better!

  2. Wow, thanks! =) I searched how to do it online and tried on my own, but it didn't work, so I would really appreciate your help!

I've read about the whole "cold as pregnancy symptom" thing. Was yours strictly a head cold, or did you get chest congestion too?

  3. I'll message you on fb about the badge :)

i'm not sure about chest congestion. for me it was a head cold. i just remember that i got sent home from a final exam because i was sniffling and sneezing all over the place haha. so it could or couldn't be, but just be on the lookout! (i also was 100% sure i was getting AF based on regular symptoms...there's basically no knowing for sure until the pink line shows up!)
